Went to Toronto for the weekend- and visited both great grandmothers- yun yun on friday night and po po on saturday morning- unfortunately we forgot to bring our camera on friday night.

Update on firm name
Well after much soul-searching and creative thinking we have settled on a name for our soon-to-be firm.....(drumroll please):
Stewart + Tsai Architects Inc. Whoa. Yes. It's a doozie. A few of the other names that were in the running were: S tewart T sai D esign, S tewart T sai U rban D esign and, my favourite, T sai S tewart A rchitects I nc. Pending approval from the Provincial Association we hope to be up and running soon.

birthday
Yesterday was Ann's birthday- we had a nice lunch courtesy of Ali and Mike. We topped that off with some cake from Gascogne- once we put the munchkin down for his nap. Yum.
regimen
While we were gone Ann's parents took over LL's training regimen- here are some of their pictures...

LL is a regular at this park- we always see the same kids and the same parents there and have pretty much learned everyone's name there.

Somehow LL has learned the melody for that old Spiderman cartoon- the one I used to watch when I came home for lunch during elementary school. I have no idea where he's picked that up.

Ann's parents took LL to the Library- which satiated LL's thirst for all things relating to busses and trains.

tour
This past week, the OSM went to Paris for a concert at the Chatelet. We left LL at home with Ann's parents and enjoyed a week off to ourselves. I think we ended up missing him more than he missed us. It was such a great trip and nice to see that our french has somehow miraculously improved since our last visit.

I wasn't going to go to the concert so instead I sat in on the rehearsal. Here's my un-blurriest picture since I didn't want to use the flash.

After going to Sacre Coeur we looked at some paintings in Montmartre and saw one we were interested in, but were unable to make a decision so we left it for another tour.

On our second last night in Paris we called up my friend Phil's fiance who has been studying in Paris for the past five years and just finished her program and is on her way back to Indonesia. We went for Vietnamese in Chinatown and then sat around the Louvre while the sun was setting. Hanny, Phil and I were in China at the same time years ago, but I never crossed paths with Hanny for some reason.

We didn't sample these particular treats from Galleries Lafayette, but I thought J2 would appreciate a photo like this. We did manage to try out some other tasty treats, though I have to say Montreal isn't far behind in the culinary department.

One of the coolest things about going to Europe is seeing all the compact cars- so much more variety than here. Here 's a picture we took on the way to St. Sulpice.
