Hello everyone- we are now back at home in Montreal, and once again our phone and internet doesn't work. I think I am slowly coming to grips with the fact that we live in a very old city and all its infrastructure is crumbling.

Back in Canmore after Medicine Hat, we went on an afternoon hike up in Johnston Canyon just beyond banff. Here- just trying to make some room for the stroller.

This was a typical view along the hike- gotta remember this trail is pretty stroller friendly up to the lower falls, a few stairs here and there once you head up to the upper falls.

Our first destination was Victoria- stayed at our friend Tania's condo near Fisherman's wharf downtown. Here is the view from her living room. Tania is music director in Victoria she and her husband Tom just had a baby a couple of weeks ago! So lucky for us her condo in Victoria was vacant while she was at her home in Vancouver with the lil' one.

case of the missing shoes

Missing: pair of blue shoes. Reward: unlimited gratitude Somehow in between bedtime Tuesday night and taking the recycling out first thing Wednesday morning, LL's only pair of shoes have gone AWOL. As luck would have it, LL probably threw them in the recycling box in the 1/2 hour window of opportunity that he had Wednesday morning (recycling day). He refuses to wear any other pair.

So after a week of dealing with Primus and Bell, our phone and internet are finally working (at the same time). As a bonus, they even gave us OUR phone number (back) to us this time.

This gerber was left for dead by us. It hasn't flowered in 4 years, only sprouting a weed here and there over the years. Finally it got bugs so we stuck it outside a few months ago, and then......"walla!"..... flower. Who knew you were supposed to water and give these things sunshine?
