Can't fit the food in the frame
Ann prepared another great Chinese New Year's feast with the help of the usual suspects (extra thanks to Ali, Sarah, Mark, Sara... of course I'm probably leaving someone out...grrr). In the foreground is Ann's white chicken dish with green sauce, Sarah's ribs jsut behind that.... Ali's noodles are on the kitchen table ....

Spot the Chow
Went back to Winnipeg to visit my grandmother and family. Saturday night we went to North Garden and tested out the Tsai-cam. On the flight home we flew WestJet and each had a video screen in the seatback in front of us with various cable channels. Partway through the flight I started to doze off, then Ann taps me on the shoulder and points to the screen.... sure enough, "Spot the Chow" is back. There sitting next to me is Ann and on the screen is Ann (and the rest of the OSM gang) playing 'the Planets' on CBC. I'm surrounded by Chows.

arrival
We escaped Montreal just as a brief cold snap was approaching. We arrived in Punta Cana (Dominican Republic) at 4 am and got to our all-inclusive at around 5am. This is us getting off the plane- what you don't see in this picture is the hundreds of Quebecers on their knees kissing the tarmac. Thanks GongGong and PoPo for the wonderful vacation!

Secret Weapon
What you can't see in this picture is Holden's portable DVD player playing Baby Einstein so that we could enjoy our dinner sitting in one place. This became the strategy towards the end of the trip.

LBD
Ali threw a Christmas 'Little Black Dress' party at a restaurant across the street from her place. Lots of fun and a chance to see everyone before the holidays. Thanks Ali!

Love the Plateau- Ann went to get our bike and store it indoors. Someone tried to steal our back tire and ended up just leaving our bike in a state of dis(re)pair.

We had a 40cm+ dump of snow in less than 24 hours- first time in a long time for us ex-winnipegers. This is the sidewalk in front of our house.
