End of an Era
Today we closed the deal on our home in the Mile End. Tomorrow we close on our new home. 5 years on Saint Urbain and we will miss this old block but are looking forward to moving in to our new neighbourhood. I plan on sending a change of address message soon but I'm pretty sure my address book is out of date. Anyways, in case you don't get a message in your email- we're no longer here. More from our new home next week.

Cameron Ave Project
STAI project underway

One of our recent projects undergoing partial demolition on the outskirts of Ottawa. This shot was taken a few weeks ago. There were some nasty structural surprises revealed during demolition but that seems to be par for the course with renovation jobs. Should be heading back there in the next week or so to have another look.
Spectacle 2
Chip off the old block. LL's garderie had their year end Peter Pan spectacle last Friday. LL did very well .... significant improvement from last year's impersonation of a statue. The highlight this year was his rendition of "Comme un arc-en-ciel!" Bravo!!
Street urchins
F1 weekend has come and gone- we took LL down for the open house day so that he could see the crews working on the race cars.
Ain't no Honda Civic
One of LL's favorite parts of the movie Cars is when Guido and Luigi get to see "a real Michael Schumacher Ferrari!" LL's reaction was more subdued.

Itching to go
We got a "new" bike for LL off of Cragislist for $20 bucks, but the real find was a Cars helmet from Zellers which means no fighting with LL trying to get him to wear a helmet. Unfortunately it's raining all weekend, but we did manage to go for 6 laps around the block during a break from the rain.
Sumo sized armchair
Our newest Craigslist purchase which is currently sitting in the middle of our living room. Very very comfy- thanks Jennifer ! And thanks to Andy for helping us move the beast!

Spring cleaning roof 1
Had a nice sunny weekend so we headed up to the roof terrace for the first time this spring. I was cleaning up some of the construction debris that was still floating around- while LL helped make a tool rack (to the right of Ann).
May 12, 2008-2
Chloe's parents had a condo meeting so they dropped her off at our place for dinner. Ann made a tempura-like fish which these two wolfed down in record time so that they could run off and play. If only all dinners could be like that.
